Worked overtime last night for the first time in years.
Didn't leave the office until around 11:30.
I hate SOAP, and wish it would die a slow and painful death.

What are you trying to do?

Nothing overly complicated...if I were using .NET or Java.
Unfortunately both Perl and Python have pretty crappy SOAP support.
In the end I had to manually generate/parse rather than having a nice convenient library handle everything for me.

I almost feel sorry for you.

I just switched from a Linux + Haskell job to a Windows + .NET job...

See, I don't like .NET much and would not be happy working with it.
But if I were, at least I would have the tools available to deal with the problem at hand. SOAP is a Java/.NET thing, right tool for the job, etc. Honestly, the current state of SOAP support in both Perl and Python seriously disappointed me, although I can completely understand why nobody would want to work on such a framework.
